Pastors Louie and Denise Antoniou have a passion to see those who have never experienced God to come into a full relationship with Jesus Christ, and to help people grow into all that God has for them. They come from non Christian families and in their twenties became Christians who both had radical transformations as they gave their lives to Jesus. They have been involved in ministry for over 20 years and have been ordained with Australian Christian Churches (AOG) since 2009.
WORD OF GOD: Westside Church believes that God has called us to be an intelligent church with a no compromise approach to preaching and teaching the Bible. We value the power and authority of the Word of God as the seed that brings new life. We also believe that God’s word produces people of integrity with developed character that will attract others to Christ and His mission. 1 Timothy 14:6, 1 Timothy 4:6, Proverbs 4:20-22
HOLY SPIRIT: Westside Church values the Holy Spirit in the lives of it’s members and in every service. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 and believe that the gifts and miracles are given for the building of God's kingdom on earth today. Westside Church desires the moving of the Holy Spirit and encourages the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our meetings. Westside Church is totally convinced of and relies upon the work of the Holy Spirit to bring people to a saving knowledge of Christ. Titus 3:1-7, Acts 2:1-4
DISCIPLESHIP: Westside Church places value on discipleship, training, mentoring, and biblical structures that promote emerging leaders within the church. Westside disciples people through teams, Connect groups and healthy relationships. We believe a primary role of the leader is to provide vision and equip others to do the work of the ministry. Matthew 28:19-20, Ephesians 4:11-12
RELATIONSHIP: Westside Church is passionate about relationships. We value relational living and believe ministry flows from relationship with others and God. Westside Church values a living, growing and developing relationship with God through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit and also believe it is vital that we have a progressive revelation of who Christ is. Our desire is to have healthy and loving relationships so others will be attracted to Christ. Philippians 3:8, John 13:34
REACHING THE LOST: Westside Church seeks to bring a living Christ to a dying world, whether it be in the local community or overseas. It is vital that people be given an opportunity to respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We desire to be a church motivated for the cause of Christ that we see everything we do through the glasses of that cause. Jesus said He had come to "seek and save that which was lost." He was here for this cause and we believe that we are in this world "for such a time as this." Luke 19:10, Matthew 28:19-20
SERVICE: Westside encourages everyone to serve at church in some way. We all have gifts that God has given us for building up the church. Through serving we grow in character and gifting’s. In serving we build the church and make it into a healthy, thriving place where everyone has a place and a purpose. 1 Corinthians 12, 1 Corinthians 14:12, Matthew 20:28
